ELENE TUMANISHVILI George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation The problem, discussed in the paper concerns the following issues:
1. What was the creative creed of a theatre director M. Tumanishvili? What kind of theatre was he aspired to create? To what an extent were these plays, their ideas and messages, up to date and responding to the reality? 2. How was the imagination idea of the director formed? What was its nourishing “soil”? What “roots” were the ideas born in and formed, and later, how were they realized and shaped in the live play? 3. What were the settings of these plays? What were the creative relations of the director and artists and to what extent the idea, artistic solution of the play worked out by the director proved to prevail in every discussed case? |
